Hornbills are dependable seed dispersers. Everyday they eat large amounts of forest fruits. Hornbills can also fly over vast areas.
If one hornbill can scatter one seed a day, imagine how many seeds it can disperse in one year! This is why hornbills are regarded as true farmers of the forest. They are able to scatter seeds and help natural forest regeneration. Without hornbills, the forest would not be able to grow and flourish.
