Helmeted Hornbills (Rhinoplax vigil) are unique bird. Their hooting and loud laughing calls resonated in the rainforest, from Thailand in the north through the Malay Peninsula, and the islands of Sumatra and Borneo become the last largest habitat remains. However, these habitats are disappearing each year. These conditions worsen by the hunting of its red ivory of their bills, for carving and in Chinese medicine in the past 3 years. These two ironic conditions are the perfect recipes for helmeted hornbill extinction.
